Research the Steps

Research the Steps
What does it take to achieve the things you want in life? Have you thought about it?

More importantly, have you done the research?

For example, a lot of people say they want to buy a boat. Ahhh...the memories!!  But they haven’t gathered even the most basic information of what it’s like to be a boat owner.

What do they cost? What model is best for you? Are there slips available at the local marina? What kind of license do you need to pilot the boat?

Without doing research, you can’t know whether a boat is something you truly want. And you certainly won’t have a checklist of tasks needed to select, buy, maintain and enjoy your future vessel.

So “Step #1 to Living the Life of Your Dreams” is knowing how to get there. It’s impossible to achieve you want if you don’t know the required steps.

Since I’ll be talking about the power of focus this month, one thing I recommend is to focus – even for a few minutes – on researching the steps needed to achieve a major goal you have. Between the Internet and real people who have already accomplished what you want to do, it’s easy to check out websites, make calls, interview people, attend seminars, read articles, and download documents.

When you DO find out what it takes, why not use the same secret weapon that top achievers do: coaching. Of all the things successful people do to accelerate their path to the healthy, balanced and financially secure lifestyle they want, working with a coach is at the top of the list.

The Oola Coaching Program is the formula I’ve discovered that has transformed not only my life, but the lives of countless people around the world. This landmark 10-week program will help you define the goals you want to achieve, then keep you accountable to doing those things every day that bring about the results you want.

Check out Oola Coaching and work with me every week to set goals in major life areas like finances, fitness, family, field (career) and more. For now, comment below (or message me) with the activities, career, fitness level, finances, faith walk, and family relationships you’ve decided you want. I’ll be your biggest cheerleader and most supportive guide to getting there.

You get what you focus on. You’ve heard that advice, right?

It reminds us that, to begin living the life we really want, we have to start doing those things that will get us there.
If you’ve been following my posts, you know I’m big into getting what you want in all 7 major life areas. It’s something I learned from Dr. Dave Braun and Dr. Troy Amdahl—The OolaGuys—who teach how to create balance in our unbalanced world.

Now, as a Certified Oola Life Coach, I help clients determine what’s not working for them in the areas of fitness, finance, family, field (career), faith, friends and fun – then correct those stressors and bring about the lifestyle, relationships and financial security they need to be happy, balanced and growing.

So what could the OolaLife look like for you?

For the next few weeks, I’m challenging you to decide, then focus on getting this life you really want.

Let’s Get Started: Decide What You Want
Have you ever thought about the lifestyle, activities, wealth, longevity, family relationships and other parts of a fantastic life that YOU want?
If you haven’t, that’s the first place to start. Why? Because in order to get what you want, you have to KNOW what you want. If you’re going to focus your time and energy, it’s got to be awesome and a major life improvement for you.
For instance, do you want to . . .
Fitness: Be date-night ready with tons of energy?
Finance: Eliminate all debt and have money to spare?
Family: Have a rockin’ good marriage + amazing kids, too?
Field: Find a dream job or start a business you love?
Faith: Start an exciting new faith-based project?
Friends: Find new friends and mentors who believe in you?
Fun: Crush those bucket-list adventures you’ve dreamed of?

Whatever inspires you, why not share it below? (But hey, don't reveal super-personal details!)
For myself, the hamster wheel of living paycheck to paycheck and a health wake up call inspired me!!
To help you achieve your own OolaLife, I’ve joined forces with Dave and Troy – The OolaGuys – to privately coach you and support you via a unique 10-week program designed to transform your life, your finances, your relationships and more. Message me and we can jump on a call about it.

Are You Feeling Inadequate? 3 Things to Do to DREAM again!!

Are You Feeling Inadequate? 3 Things to Do to DREAM again!!

As I sit here waiting for my next Uber Eats assignment, I have time to sit in the quiet.  I pray and ponder my next steps of the day. Also the next steps of life.

This morning,  and last night, I had yet another argument with my son. We seem to have some good moments that last for a few weeks, then we seem to be so upheavaled and out of sorts,  I don't know how to act or what to say. Will what I say set him off?

I'm a Certified Life Coach and a Parent Mentor.  I sometimes feel, how can I help these other moms when my own family is so chaotic.  How can I offer support when I feel I need it myself??

Do you ever feel that way?  Do you ever feel like you are inadequate?

I have to remind myself,  I am not perfect.  I will have trials as well as victories. I am good enough to help others.  I can reach back, even if I'm a step or two ahead!

I have to remember,  I have been through so much. Because of that, I am able to teach and coach others through their trials, and rejoice in their victories!! I can come along the mom who needs encouragement and support!!

YOU are enough!! YOU have what it takes!! YOU are YOU!!

If we stand still,  we are not moving forward.  If we don't take a step out in faith, we cannot grow.

If we are not growing, we are stuck!!

We can choose to GROW!  We can choose to STEP in Faith!!  We can MOVE Forward!!

We will have moments of trials, but What we learn from those moments is how we GROW!!

When we learn to PIVOT is how we can Move!!

You are an Amazing MOM!

I encourage YOU to Look up!  Say a Prayer and Step out in Faith!!

I encourage YOU to DREAM!!

Why does life seem so overwhelming? We set goals and have good intentions, but there never seems to be enough time, money or energy for achieving life’s biggest goals.

Instead of making progress, our lives seem even more out of balance.
Well, for the next few weeks, I’d like to help you overcome the overwhelm and work on achieving balance in every major life category.

How will we do that?
Using a strategy I learned from Dr. Dave Braun and Dr. Troy Amdahl, authors of the bestselling book, Oola: Find Balance in an Unbalanced World: identify where you’re out of balance, then jot down three tasks a day that will move you toward balance in that area of your life.
Here’s an example:
If your finances are a mess and credit card debt is causing you extra stress, your to-do list might look like this:
1. Make a list of all debts in order of total amount due
2. Make an extra payment (today) on the smallest debt while still making minimum payments on the others
3. Investigate ways to make extra money to pay off all debt

START NOW: IDENTIFY WHERE YOU’RE OUT OF BALANCE
You CAN overcome the overwhelm. To start, identify your biggest stressor in each of “The 7 F’s of Oola” (below). Write down your list in a journal or on your smartphone, so you can refer back to it. Are you out of balance in:
Fitness: Excess weight? Poor nutrition? Little exercise?
Finance: Crushing debt? No retirement plan? Too many bills?
Family: Need boundaries? Marriage on life support?
Field: Career stress? No free time? Low pay or benefits?
Faith: No real relationship with God? Need a daily practice?
Friends: Toxic friends that bring you down? Need mentors?
Fun: No time for fun? Waiting until you’re older or retired?

Whatever is stressing you, let’s work together to completely transform your life into one that’s balanced, happy and growing. I’ve joined forces with Dave and Troy to bring my followers the Oola formula via a 10-week coaching experience designed to transform your life, your finances, your relationships and more. Message me and we can jump on a call about it.

Then stay tuned for the next few weeks for even more ways to bringing balance to your life . . . Oola style.

Bring Balance to Fitness

Bring Balance to Fitness
It’s already February, and if you celebrated New Year’s Day with a resolution to get healthier in 2021, I have a question: have you stayed on track with your fitness goals?

One of the best outcomes of creating a balanced life is enjoying the basics: adequate sleep, nutritious food, time for exercise—plus bandwidth to handle longstanding conditions that cause pain, embarrassment or anxiety.
But you don’t have to arrive at the “ideal life” to enjoy vibrant well-being. Simply starting the journey toward being fit and healthy will boost your energy, immunity and brain function. And a daily walk around the neighborhood delivers noticeable results.

In the time that I’ve been a Certified Oola Life Coach working personally with bestselling authors Dr. Dave Braun and Dr. Troy Amdahl, I’ve discovered that taking action and staying committed to your goals will get you further – faster – than almost any other approach. Fitness is one area where this focus and commitment really pays off.
To help my followers stay accountable to taking small steps toward their goals, I recently joined forces with Dave and Troy to deliver a 10-week coaching experience designed to transform your life, your finances, your relationships and more. Message me and we can jump on a call about it.

While the Oola coaching formula works to bring balance in 7 major life areas, I have to say: it rocks when it comes to meeting health goals, slimming down, and gaining the confidence that comes from being date-night ready.
It can help you define the goals you want to achieve, and keep you accountable to doing those things every day that bring about the results you want.

Check out Oola Coaching and work with me every week to find balance and calm the overwhelm in major life areas like finances, fitness, family, field (career) and more.
